Meet Joel
Joel graduated from the Renovations Technician program at Niagara College and has worked in the trade since 2018. He has also completed Schluter’s installation training, which covers the waterproofing that goes in behind a tiled shower. He started Joel Works part time in 2020 and went full time in 2021: kitchens, bathrooms, basements, and the tile work that ties them together, across Norfolk, Brant and Oxford.
Clients tend to arrive with something specific in mind. A layout, a finish, a picture they have been holding onto for a year. The job is building it, and the difference is usually in the details: where the tile lines land, how a corner is mitred, whether a pattern holds true right across a wall.
There is no crew to hand you off to and nobody selling you the job who will not be building it. The person who quotes your kitchen is the person standing in it.

What customers say
Joel and Kieran did a great job of transforming my tiny kitchen into a beautiful and functional space to cook and create. Joel took my asks and made them a reality, all while recognizing my budget and time constraints.
Jennifer R. Kitchen renovation
Highly recommend Joel Works. They completely gutted our bathroom and brought the vision I had for my bathroom to reality. Both Joel and Lawin were hard workers, easy going and took pride in their work. The finished product was everything I could hope for.
Brenda C. Bathroom gut & rebuild
Joel created us a custom walk in shower and it turned out beautiful. His tile skills are amazing. He was so nice and easy going to work with, always showed up when he said he would and had great communication.
Abby K. Custom walk-in shower
Joel does incredible work. Our bathrooms turned out better than we imagined. Joel and Kieran work diligently respecting our time without compromising quality. He’s very responsive to communication, flexible with design changes and eager to make our vision come to life.
